Stone Flowers’ second album, Ngunda, was written and recorded in 2014-15, bringing together a vibrant mix of musical and cultural influences from Congolese Soukous to Tamil folk. It includes ten beautiful and poignant songs reflecting on themes of exile and reconciliation, resilience, human rights, and the transformative effect of hope. Songs are performed in many languages including English, Farsi, French, Kurdish and Lingala.
I can’t stop listening to the new Stone Flowers Album - Ngunda. I’ve even got my kids to sing along to it on long car journeys! Great work. Many congratulations. Russell Delew, Cancer Research UK, Stone Flowers
