To celebrate national Refugee Week, on 16th June 2015 primary school children from across Greater Manchester joined internationally acclaimed music facilitator Tim Steiner and members of Stone Flowers collective, performing songs from around the world in many different languages, including pieces written by the children themselves.

One of the 15 international musicians involved in the project was our new ambassador Jean Paul Samputu, survivor of 1994 genocide in Rwanda and a hugely successful African artist, who’s performed for the World Culture Open at the Lincoln Center in New York and the UN High Commisioner for Refugees for World Refugees Day.

Big thanks to all participants, guests and supporters! x
